'Yuru Camp △' Season 2 TV anime series 2nd PV revealed, premieres January 7, 2021

The second promotional video (PV) for the upcoming 2nd season of the TV anime series adaptation of Afro's "Yuru Camp △ (Laid-back Camp)" manga series has began streaming on Thursday through the anime's official Twitter account. The new season is slated to begin broadcasting on January 7, 2021 on AT-X, TOKYO MX, BS11 and other local channels in Japan.


Cast includes Yumiri Hanamori as Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Nao Toyama as Rin Shima, Sayuri Hara as Chiaki Ogaki, Rie Takahashi as Ena Saito and Tomoyo Kurosawa as Ayano Toki. Yoshiaki Kyōgoku is supervising the production and C-Station is returning to animate the series.


The series was based on the Japanese manga series by Afro, which was serialized in Houbunsha's seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Forward from July 2015 to February 2019 until it was transferred to the publisher website and app for manga called Comic Fuz. Ten volumes have been released so far. Yen Press has licensed the manga for a North American release, and released the first volume of the manga in English in March 2018.

English publisher Yen Press describes the series as: Setting up a tent, starting a fire, and eating noodles with Mt. Fuji in view...Rin and Nadeshiko absolutely love to camp! Enjoy their zest for travel and maybe even pick up a tip or two about roughing it in the great outdoors. You might just want to go camping yourself!


The first season of the TV anime adaptation of the series consisted of 12 episodes was directed by Yoshiaki Kyōgoku and produced by C-Station, aired from January 4 to March 22, 2018. Jin Tanaka supervised the series' scripts and Mutsumi Sasaki designed the characters. The opening theme is "Shiny Days" by Asaka, which was released as a single on January 24, 2018, while the ending theme is "Fuyubiyori" by Eri Sasaki.


The short anime series, titled "Heya Camp", premiered from January 6 to March 23, 2020 was directed by Masato Jinbo, with Mutsumi Ito handling series composition, and Mutsumi Sasaki as character designer.


A live-action television drama adaptation of the manga was announced in November 2019. Actress Haruka Fukuhara portrays Rin Shima, with Yuno Ōhara, Momoko Tanabe, Yumena Yanai, and Sara Shida respectively playing supporting characters Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Chiaki Ōgaki, Aoi Inuyama, and Ena Saitō. The drama premiered on TV Tokyo on January 9, 2020. The opening theme is "Mabataki mo Sezu ni" (瞬きもせずに) by H△G, while the ending theme is "Replay" by the band Longman.
