The 41st issue of Kodansha's weekly Young Magazine has announced that Kengo Hanazawa's Under Ninja manga is inspiring a television anime.
As of writing, only this announcement mentions the decision to create an anime adaptation. Additional details will eventually be released on Young Magazine's official Twitter account and website.
Under Ninja is written and illustrated by Kengo Hanazawa. The manga series was first serialized on Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in July 2018.
Translated Synopsis of Under Ninja from Weekly Young Magazine:
The Japanese ninja, who once boasted of their prosperity, were dismantled by GHQ after the war and disappeared. However, the ninja still exist in secret, and it is said that there are 200,000 of them. Some of the elite ninja work behind the scenes in national level conflicts. On the other hand, the ninja on the opposite end are often unable to find work, and one of them, Kurou Kumogakure, is living the life of a NEET. However, Kurou finally receives a serious "ninja assignment"!
