The official YouTube channel of Japanese publisher Ichijinsha has streamed on Friday a promotional video for the second original anime disc bundled with the 10th volume of Fujita's "Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii)" manga released today.
On January 28, the official Twitter of Comic POOL web magazine has revealed the covers of the 10th tankōbon volume of Fujita's "Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii)" manga series. The new volume will be released in Japan on February 26, 2021.
The cover features the its main heroines Nao and Kou.
The newest volume will come into two editions; standard and special editions. The special edition will be bundled with a new OVA DVD (OAD) of the series (see below):
The Japanese webmanga series Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku written and illustrated by Fujita was first posted on Pixiv on April 17, 2014. It began serialization on November 6, 2015 in Comic Pool (a joint web manga publication project by Ichijinsha and Pixiv).
On April 30, 2015, Ichijinsha began publishing the manga in tankōbon volumes and has been collected into nine volumes as of January 2021 and the 10th volume will be shipped in February 2021. As of August 2020, the manga has exceed 10 million copies printed (including digital edition).
The manga was adapted into an 11-episode TV anime series by animation studio A-1 Pictures which was aired from April to June 2018 on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block. The anime was directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike, who also handled series composition. Takahiro Yasuda designed the characters, while Akimitsu Honma composed the music.
An OVA entitled "It Appeared Suddenly=Love" was released on March 29, 2019 coinciding with the release of the 7th volume of the manga and a second OVA will be release as a bundle to the manga's 10th volume.
