The movie will premiere in Japan on Oct. 14, 2022. As with the 2019 TV anime, this film is animated by Doga Kobo.
The Wataten! series stars shy college student Miyako Hoshino (CV: Reina Ueda) who mostly spends her time in her room making cosplay outfits. But when her sister Hinata (CV: Rika Nagae) brings her classmate Hana Shirosaki (CV: Maria Sashide) home, Miyako instantly becomes captivated by Hana's cuteness. As a result, Miyako finds various ways to coax Hana into wearing her cosplay outfits.
In this film, the cast prepare to visit Hana's grandmother.

Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me (Japanese: 私に天使が舞い降りた!, Romaji: Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!) is a Japanese four-panel yuri comedy manga series written and illustrated by Nanatsu Mukunoki. The series began publication in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine in November 2016.
The TV anime adaptation by Doga Kobo aired in Japan from January to March 2019 with 12 episodes plus an OVA in May 2019.
