The first promotional video for season 2 Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! W has been released.
The TV anime is scheduled to air in Fall 2022 and is again animated by studio ENGI.
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! (Japanese: 宇崎ちゃんは遊びたい！, Romaji: Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Take. It has been serialized on Niconico Seiga's Dra Dra Sharp website since December 2017 and collected in eight tankōbon volumes by Fujimi Shobo as of March 2022. In North America, the manga is licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The series stars Hana Uzaki (CV: Naomi Ōzora) who reunites with high school friend Shinichi Sakurai (CV: Kenji Akabane) in college. However, Uzaki is surprised that Shinichi is now a loner, preferring to spend his free time in quiet peace. She then makes it a point to keep hanging out with him to the point where people mistake them for a couple.
The first PV also features the opening theme song Once-in-a-Lifetime Celebration (いちごいちえ Celebration) by Kano and voice actress Naomi Ōzora, performing as her character, Hana Uzaki. The lyrics were composed by Tomokazu Tashiro, with composition and arrangement by Hidekazu Tanaka (Bambino).
