The third and final game of the Utawarerumono visual novel, Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth, has released a teaser video to promote the anime adaptation which will broadcast in July 2022.
Production work for Mask of Truth reportedly began in 2019.

Mask of Truth covers the aftermath of The Emperor's death, with Haku inheriting Oshtor’s identity.

About 'Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth'
Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth (Japanese:うたわれるもの 二人の白皇, Romaji: Utawarerumono Futari no Hakuoro) is a Japanese tactical role-playing visual novel developed by Aquaplus which first released in September 2016 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. It is the third and final game in the Utawarerumono series, following the events of Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception.

After the events of Mask of Deception, the Yamato Empire is now ruled with an iron fist by a ruthless usurper who seeks to subjugate all before him. It's up to a couple of familiar faces to band together against the might of the Imperial army, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance as nations and generals must pick a side to fight with in this perilous civil war. Secrets will be revealed, friendships will be tested, and battles will be fought. Will peace and order be restored or will victory at any cost be the beginning of the end?
