The official Twitter for the TV anime series adaptation of Kenjiro Hata's "Fly Me to the Moon (Tonikaku Kawaii)" manga series has revealed on Wednesday its first official promotional video (PV) for the previously announced original video animation (OVA) of the anime titled "TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ~SNS~. The PV reveals that the OVA will be releasing on August 18 with a simulcast streaming outside Japan.
The staff and cast of the concluded TV anime series will reprise their roles for the OVA.
The TV anime adaptation of the series was animated by Seven Arcs and directed by Hiroshi Ikehata. Kazuho Hyodo wrote the series' scripts with Masakatsu Sasaki designed the characters, and Endō composed the music. It premiered on October 3, 2020 on Tokyo MX, ytv, and BS-NTV in Japan.
The series is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hata. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday since February 2018.
The story surrounds the teen genius Nasa Yuzaki and his developing relationship with his new wife, Tsukasa, who saves him in a car accident at the beginning of the story.
