'Tesla Note' TV anime adaptation unveils new key visual, cast members and October debut

The official Twitter for the TV anime adaptation of Masafumi Nishida, Tadayoshi Kubo, and Kōta Sannomiya's "Tesla Note" manga series has unveiled on Tuesday a new key visual for the upcoming anime series. Additional cast members were also revealed along with the announcement of its October 2021 debut.

The newly-announced cast members include:

  • Kazuya Nakai as Kyohei Himi

  • Mugihito as Jingo Negoro

  • Hidenobu Kiuchi as Kensuke Toriumi

  • Shizuka Ito as Lily Steinem

The series is animated by Studio Gambit with Michio Fukuda serving as the series director. The scripts are written by Masafumi Nishida, characters are drafted by POKImari, and music is composed Kaoru Wada.

The previously-announced cast members include:

  • Konomi Kohara as Botan Negoro

  • Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Kuruma

  • Tomoaki Maeno as Ryūnosuke Takamatsu

  • Junichi Suwabe as Mickey Miller

  • Hiroshi Kamiya as Oliver Thornton

The series is based on the Japanese manga series written by Masafumi Nishida and Tadayoshi Kubo, and illustrated by Kōta Sannomiya which was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shounen Magazine on January 6, 2021. The first tankōbon volume will be releasing in April 16.

Synopsis via MAL:

Mission T is a secret operation to save the world from destruction. Trained as a ninja from a young age, Botan Negoro, raised to become the ultimate spy, teams up with another excellent spy, Kuruma. Their aim is to recover the legacy of the genius inventor Nikola Tesla, the "Shards of Tesla." Can the two outwit the agents of other countries who are also pursuing these fragments? A super-original spy thriller begins.
