'Spy x Family' anime series is coming to Netflix Philippines and other selected countries in April

Netflix Philippines has listed 'SPYxFAMILY' in the coming soon section! It will also be available to selected countries outside Japan.

The anime series adaptation for Tatsuya Endo’s SPY x FAMILY manga series has been listed to stream on Netflix in the Philippines and other selected countries outside Japan starting April 2022. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting on local channels in Japan on April 9, 2022 at 23:00 JST.

Japanese band Official HIGE DANdism is performing the opening theme titled "Mixed Nuts" and Japanese singer Gen Hoshino is performing the ending theme titled "Kigeki".


The main trailer was also posted on the official YouTube channel of TOHO Animation.

Animation studios WIT Studio and CloverWorks are joining forces for the anime's animation production with Kazuhiro Furuhashi directing the series. Kazuaki Shimada is designing the characters and (K)now name is in charge of the music composition.


The cast includes:

  • Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger

  • Saori Hayami as Yor Forger

  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya

About SPYxFAMILY

The SPY x FAMILY manga series is written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo which has been serialized since March 25, 2019 in Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ application and website. It is being released on the app for free in a biweekly timing. As of March 2021, it has been collected into 7 tankōbon volumes.

On May 13, 2021, it was announced that the SPY x FAMILY manga is getting a novel titled "Spy x Family Family Portrait" written by its author Tatsuya Endo & Aya Yajima. The novel consists of 770 pages with a large amount of illustrations drawn by the author himself.


A TV anime adaptation has been announced last October 31, 2021 with WIT Studio and CloverWorks animating the series. The anime is scheduled to premiere on April 9, 2022 and was announced to be a split-cour.

The story follows a spy who has to "build a family" in order to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin.
