Viewers watching the currently airing anime Taishou Otome Otogibanashi (English: Taishou Maiden Fairytale) were no doubt thrilled to hear a favorite music group in the anime community: pop rock duo GARNiDELiA who sings the show's opening theme Otome no Kokoroe (Japanese: オトメの心得, English: A Maiden's Heart).

About GARNiDELiA

Garnidelia (ガルニデリア, stylized as GARNiDELiA) is a Japanese pop rock duo consisting of singer Mai Mizuhashi, better known by her stage name MARiA, and Vocaloid record producer Yoshinori Abe (阿部尚徳), better known by his stage name toku. They are currently affiliated with Pony Canyon Inc. (2021–present).

The unit's name, GARNiDELiA, is an anagram of "Le Palais Garnier de Maria" (meaning "the place where Maria sings") and "Cordelia," an asteroid of the same name discovered in the year toku was born. Maria (sometimes spelled as Meiria or Melia) is a model for various fashion brands and is responsible for GARNiDELiA's artwork and lyrics. Meanwhile, toku is in charge of GARNiDELiA's sound production.

GARNiDELiA made their major debut under record label Defstar Records with ambiguous in 2014, which was used as the second opening theme for the anime Kill la Kill.

Another anime song they are famous for is Grilletto, the second opening theme for the anime The Irregular at Magic High School.

Oh, and did you know? Despite their fame, GARNiDELiA are avid fans of other Jpop singers' works. See their cover of LiSA's Gurenge (紅蓮華) below!
