The official website of Shingo Natsume's original TV anime ‘Sonny Boy’ has released on Thursday a new key visual and a 60-second promotional video cut. The said anime series is set to launch on July 15. In addition, an announcement on the first episode streaming on Youtube was disclosed.
The pre-premiere streaming of the pilot episode on Shochiku's official YouTube channel is on June 19 at 8:00PM JST. It will be broadcasted on TOKYO MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, BS Asahi, and RAB Aomori Broadcasting by July 15.

Apart from the details on its release, the jacket photo of the original soundtrack of the 1st half album was also revealed. It features one of Hisashi Eguchi’s character art. The first half will launch on July 21 while the 2nd half to follow on September 8. The soundtrack includes bands personally hand-picked by its music advisor, Shinichiro Watanabe, such as VIDEOTAPEMUSIC, The Natsuyasumi Band and Mitsume, to name a few.

Studio Madhouse is animating the series, with Shingo Natsume as creator, director and scriptwriter. Original character designs were made by Hisashi Eguchi. Sound direction is taken care of by Shoji Hata.

Empty classrooms, boring days. It was supposed to be a normal summer vacation just like any other. Suddenly, the school begins to drift through another dimension, and 36 boys and girls are left there, awakening to their supernatural abilities.
