The official Twitter for the previously-announced television (TV) anime adaptation of Shinji Cobkubo and K Akagashi's 'Sabikui Bisco' light novel series has revealed on Friday the main visual and first promotional featuring the characters for the anime series. The anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in January 2022.
The series is animated by Studio OZ with Atsushi Ikariya directing the series. Sadayuki Murai is writing the series' scripts, Ai Asari and Ikariya designing the characters, and Takeshi Ueda and Hinako Tsubakiyama composing the series' music.
The cast includes:
Ryōta Suzuki as Bisco Akaboshi
Natsuki Hanae as Milo Nekoyanagi
Reina Kondō as Paū Nekoyanagi
Miyu Tomita as Chiroru Ōchagama
Shiro Saito as Jabi
Kenjiro Tsuda as Kurokawa
The series is based on the Japanese light novel series of the same title written by Shinji Cobkubo and illustrated by K Akagashi, with world-building art by mocha. Seven volumes has been published by ASCII Media Works since March 2018 under its Dengeki Bunko imprint.
A manga adaptation with art by Yūsuke Takahashi was serialized online between April 2019 and March 2021 via Square Enix's online manga magazine Manga UP!.
