Official accounts have announced an upcoming TV anime adaptation for Miyuki Tonogaya's romantic comedy manga The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague (Romaji: Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi).
Animation studios Zero-G and Liber will be collaborating to produce the anime. Below is the commemorative visual to celebrate the anime project. As of writing, no release date for the anime has been announced.
The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague is a manga series written and illustrated by Miyuki Tonogaya. It has been serialized on the Gangan pixiv website since 2019. The latest tankobon volume (Vol. 06) will be released tomorrow, June 22, 2022. The tankobon manga are distributed by Square Enix.
The story stars office worker Himuro (CV: Chiaki Kobayashi) who belongs to a race of supernatural beings with strange powers. His specific power is ice, and he has a soft spot for his female colleague Fuyutsuki (CV: Yui Ishikawa). Whenever he's around her, he loses control over his powers, causing a snowstorm and exposing his feelings to everyone...except Fuyutsuki herself.
