A second promotional video has been released for upcoming romantic comedy anime When Will Ayumu Make His Move?
The show is scheduled to air on July 7, 2022. It is produced by animation studio Silver Link.
When Will Ayumu Make His Move? is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Sōichirō Yamamoto (who is famous for the series Teasing Master Takagi-san). It has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since March 2019.
The series stars Ayumu Tanaka (CV: Yōhei Azakami) and Urushi Yaotome (CV: Kanna Nakamura) who are both members of the shogi club. Freshman Ayumu vows to confess his feelings to Urushi, his senpai, after he manages to defeat her in a game of shogi, but he is a beginner at the game and Urushi always beats him. Meanwhile, Urushi keeps trying to get Ayumu to admit that he likes her, but Ayumu never allows his poker face to slip.
The featured opening theme is 「駆け引きはポーカーフェイス」 (Romaji: Kakehiki ha poker face; Unofficial English: The strategy is a poker face) sung by Kana Hanazawa, who also voices Maki in the anime.
