'Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire' releases 1st PV for Jan 2023

Reincarnated hero-king Inglis Eucus (CV: Akari Kitō) is out to master her swordsmanship this January 2023!

The first promotional video has been released for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Hayaken and Nagu's fantasy light novel Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire.


The anime is scheduled to air in January 2023. It is produced by Studio Comet.

The story revolves around Inglis Eucus (CV: Akari Kitō), a hero-king who is reborn as a woman in a knight family. A goddess named Alistia granted his wish to address his one regret in life which was being unable to master his swordsmanship.

Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire (Japanese: 英雄王、武を極めるため転生す ~そして、世界最強の見習い騎士♀~, Romaji: Eiyū-Ō, Bu o Kiwameru Tame Tensei-Su: Soshite, Sekai Saikyō no Minarai Kishi) is a Japanese fantasy light novel series written by Hayaken and illustrated by Nagu. It began serialization online in March 2019 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō.


It was later acquired by Hobby Japan, who have published six volumes since November 2019 under their HJ Bunko imprint.


A manga adaptation with art by Moto Kuromura has been serialized online via Hobby Japan's Comic Fire website since December 2019 and has been collected in three tankōbon volumes. Both the light novel and manga have been licensed in North America by J-Novel Club.
