Eiichiro Oda's mega hit series ONE PIECE is making anime history as its 1000th episode will air on Nov. 21, 2021, on Fuji TV at 9:30 JST. The anime produced by Toei Animation since 1999 is currently at a whopping 20 seasons.
The episode is going to cover the Onigashima Raid following the first blood being drawn by the Akazaya Nine on Yonko Kaido.
The 22-year franchise recognizes that the ONE PIECE series has grown alongside its fans, so in celebration, the theme song for the 1000th episode will be TWILIGHT by popular Jrock band RADWIMPS.

Moreover, the overarching theme of the 1000th episode milestone is "We are One," to represent that the long journey of Monkey D. Luffy and company is a joint experience with us fans in the 3D world. As such, the official ONE PIECE YouTube channel has created a five-scene story out of the TWILIGHT video. Each video represents the life story of normal, everyday people going through the trials of life and overcoming them with ONE PIECE by their side. All videos come with subtitles in multiple languages.

RADWIMPS is a Japanese rock band who debuted independently in 2003 and later on through major label EMI Music Japan (formerly Toshiba EMI) in 2005. Their current members include Yojiro Noda ((野田洋次郎), Akira Kuwahara (桑原彰), Yusuke Takeda (武田祐介), and Satoshi Yamaguchi (山口智史). To the anime community, they are famous for providing the soundtrack to Makoto Shinkai's Your Name, one of the highest-grossing Japanese animated films, as well as the soundtrack to Shinkai's next film, Weathering with You.
About ONE PIECE
ONE PIECE is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It began serialization in July 1997 under Shueisha's shounen manga magazine Weekly Shounen Jump and continues to this day. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his crew named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as "One Piece" in order to become the next King of the Pirates.
The manga is one of the best-selling series in history, having broken publishing records. In 2015, ONE PIECE set the Guinness World Record for "the most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author." As of July 2021, the manga had over 490 million copies in circulation in 58 countries and regions worldwide. It was adapted into an anime series by production company Toei Animation, which began broadcasting in Japan in 1999.
