At the Netflix Festival Japan 2021 earlier, the major streaming platform announced its upcoming titles for 2022, with one of them being the space horror anime exception.

This will be an original anime, with story by Hirotaka Adachi (pen name: Otsuichi) and character design by Yoshitaka Amano (Final Fantasy).

Exception will be set on dystopian earth, with humanity at the brink of extinction. They are forced to leave earth and look for a new place to survive in the Galaxy. A team of spacecraft is sent to a planet to terraform. These team members are created from a 3D printer that can produce biological structures through some unknown mechanism.

The anime will be produced by studios Tatsunoko Production and 5 Inc. Additional information will be published as soon as they are made available.

Yellowstone is the Paramount Network's only unique prearranged Yellowstone Season 5 series at present, yet who needs another? The show has been an evaluations juggernaut — it was the No. 1 series of 2021 across broadcast, link and premium, with a stunning 11 million typical watchers tuning in every week. Also, of course, Paramount Network has authoritatively reestablished the series for season 5 and increased visitor stars Jen Landon (Teeter) and Kathryn Kelly (Emily) to series regulars.
