'My Senpai is Annoying' TV anime reveals new visual, additional casts, series airs this October

The official Twitter for the anime adaptation of Shiro Manta's "My Senpai is Annoying (Senpai ga Uzai Kōhai no Hanashi)" romantic comedy manga series has revealed on Wednesday a new visual along with the additional cast members for its upcoming TV anime adaptation. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in October 2021.

The anime series is animated by Doga Kobo with Ryota Itoh serving as the series director. The series script is composed by Yoshimi Narita with character designs by Shigemitsu Abe. The music is composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi.

The main cast includes:

  • Tomori Kusunoki as Futaba Igarashi

  • Shunsuke Takeuchi as Harumi Takeda

The newly-announced cast members include:

  • Saori Hayami as Touko Sakurai

  • Reiou Tsuchida as Souta Kazama

  • Reina Aoyama as Natsumi Kurobe

  • Yui Horie as Yuto Sakurai

  • Aoi Koga as Mona Tsukishiro

My Senpai is Annoying is a Japanese romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Shiro Manta which started its serialization as a web series by Ichijinsha on its Comic POOL web magazine since 2017.


It was announced to be adapted into a TV anime series on July 1, 2020.


The story follows Igarashi Futaba, a diminutive and scrappy office worker who is often mistaken for a child, constantly complains about her big and boisterous coworker, Takeda Harumi. However, it's clear to Futaba's friends and coworkers that she secretly harbors feelings for Takeda that she struggles to come to terms with.
