Muse Asia had announced last Thursday that it will distribute P.A. Works’ original anime series "Aquatope of White Sand (Shiro Suna no Aquatope)" which is scheduled for release on July 8 in Japan.
The anime will have an original story set place in a small aquarium in Okinawa. The new project will be animated and produced by PA Works with the direction by Toshiya Shinohara and series composition by Yuko Kakihara. The animation direction and characters designs will be handled by Yuki Akiyama based on the original character designs by U35. The music will be composed by Yoshiaki Dewa and Project Tingala is credited with the original work.
The series will be broadcasted on Tokyo MX, BS Fuji, MBS and Ryukyu Broadcasting.

The anime's main cast includes Miku Itou as Kukuru Misakino and Rikako Aida as Fuuka Miyazawa.

Kukuru Misakino, an 18-year-old high school girl working in an aquarium, meets Fuuka Miyazawa, a former idol who lost her place in Tokyo and escaped. Fuuka will spend her days in the aquarium with her own thoughts in mind. However, the crisis of closing is approaching for the aquarium, as the girls explore their dreams and reality, loneliness and friends, bonds and conflicts.
