Mitsuo Iso's original sci-fi anime The Orbital Children (Romaji: Chikyūgai Shōnen Shōjo; Alternative title: Extra-Terrestrial Boys & Girls) is set to broadcast worldwide on Netflix. The six-episode series will premiere on Jan. 28, 2022.
The story takes place in the year 2045, in an era of AI. Children born on the moon and children from Earth are on a trip to space to meet at the Japanese-built space station, "Anshin" when an accident occurs.
The anime will screen in theaters in Japan in two parts. The first part will open on January 28, and the second part will open on February 11. Each part will screen for two weeks only in theaters. The theatrical project will also have a simultaneous release on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
