A teaser video has been released for the upcoming season 2 of mecha anime Megaton Musashi (Alternative title: Megaton-kyuu Musashi).
The show is scheduled to air on Oct. 7, 2022 and is again produced by studio OLM. Season 1 aired from Oct. 1, 2021 to Dec. 24, 2021 with 13 episodes.
Megaton Musashi is a sci-fi series that takes place after 2118, when alien invaders called Dracters have gained total control over the Earth and wiped out 90% of humanity. Survivors live in shelter communities where their everyday lives are monitored, and memories of the invasion are erased. Three teenagers from the shelter are chosen to pilot three machines that combine to form the Musashi robot that is made from a material called Megatronium alloy.
The teaser also features the opening theme song Song of Hero (Romaji: Eiyuu no Uta; Japanese: 英雄のうた) sung by Kodai Matsuura, with lyrics by Akihiro Hino, composition by Yumi Asada, and arrangement by Rei Kondoh.
