Shall We Walk Hand in Hand Down the Flowery Path of Evil? (Japanese: 悪の華道を行きましょう, Romaji: Aku no kadou wo ikimashou, Alternative title: The Flowery Path of Evil) is a new romantic comedy-isekai manga written by Mafuyubi and illustrated by Yamashiro Umeta. It is currently serialized on Monthly Comic Zero Sum. The first volume was just released today, Nov. 30, 2021.

Plot

The protagonist is Celestine, a villainess who is about to be married off to an ugly Prime Minister twice her age as punishment for her misdeeds against her original fiancé, the Prince. In the middle of her wedding, Celestine recalls her past life where she was a normal teenage girl playing otome games. Realizing that she always had an attraction to older men because she lacked a father figure in her previous life, Celestine vows to form a genuine relationship with her soon-to-be-husband. Maybe getting married to the Prime Minister won't be so bad?

Initial Impressions

The preview panels on Amazon Japan give this series a classic, falling-in-love shoujo manga vibe as Celestine blushes for her husband-to-be. She honestly thinks he doesn't look bad!

With a lot of potential for this unlikely relationship, we're looking forward to more heartwarming scenes from this husband-and-wife pairing. Also, it'll be funny to hear more of Celestine's thoughts as she finds herself in this royal setup with her otome game-obsessed mind. What do you think of this series?
