A special trailer has been released for Makoto Shinkai's sci-fi mystery anime film Suzume no Tojimari. The movie will premiere in theaters in Japan on Nov. 11, 2022.

In the interview, they look back on the audition experience for the two lead roles as well as the behind-the-scenes work they put into mastering their characters.

At 15:38 of the video, the scene shifts to a special version of the trailer introducing Hokuto Matsumura as the voice of Souta Munakata (and the chair).

Suzume no Tojimari stars 17-year-old Suzume Iwato (CV: Nanoka Hara) who lives in a quiet town in the Kyushu region of southwestern Japan. She meets a young man named Souta Munakata (CV: Hokuto Matsumura) who is looking for a "door". Unfortunately, their quest for the said door leads to "Doors of Disaster" appearing across Japan.

Suzume makes it her mission to close the "Doors of Disaster" to put a stop to the calamities. The story also focuses heavily on her personal growth.
