'Koukyuu no Karasu' reveals teaser video for October 2022 broadcast

The teaser introduces the main cast and story for the TV anime of Koukyuu no Karasu (Unofficial English: Crow of the Inner Palace)

A teaser video has been revealed to introduce the main cast and story for upcoming TV anime Koukyuu no Karasu (Unofficial English: Crow of the Inner Palace), which is scheduled to air in October 2022. It will be animated by Bandai Namco Pictures.

Koukyuu no Karasu (Japanese: 後宮の烏) originated as a Japanese light novel series written by Kōko Shirakawa and illustrated by Ayuko. It has been ongoing serialization on Shueisha's Orange Bunko imprint since April 2018.


The series features protagonist Uhi (烏妃), a solitary Chinese princess who lives in the inner palace as a consort but does not perform sexual duties. She is instead known to take on various requests that she can grant with her inexplicable magical powers. Her fate changes when one night, Emperor Kōshun pays her a visit.

The initial cast for the upcoming anime includes the following:

  • Jusetsu Ryū (CV: Saku Mizuno)

  • Kōshun Ka (CV: Masaaki Mizunaka)

  • Sei Ei (CV: Taku Yashiro)

  • Jiujiu (CV: Marika Kouno)
