The production committee of the live-action drama series adaptation of Homura Kawamoto and Kei Saiki's Kakegurui spin-off manga series titled "Kakegurui Twins" has revealed several scene photos from the upcoming series. The drama series is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on March 26.

Kakegurui Twins (Compulsive Gambler Twin) is one of the spin-off titles of the original Kakegurui series and the story follows Mary Saotome, a young girl who was born into a very ordinary family, and takes place one year before Yumeko Jabami transferred to Hyakkaou Private Academy.

The live-action drama series adaptation is directed Hanabusa Tsutomu based on the original "Kakegurui Twins" spin-off series written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Kei Saiki.

The cast includes:

  • Morikawa Aoi as Saotome Meari

  • Sano Hayato as Mibuomi Aoi

  • Ikuta Erika as Miharutaki Sakura

  • Akita Shiori as Hanatemari Tsuzura

  • Hagiwara Minori as Togakushi Yukimi

  • Nagai Mijika as Juraku Sachiko

The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting on March 26, 2021 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

The original Kakegurui manga series written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Touru Naomura began its serialization in Square Enix's Gangan Joker in March 2014. A prequel spin-off manga, Kakegurui Twin, began serialization in Gangan Joker in September 2015.

It inspired a TV anime series produced by animation studio MAPPA that ran from July to September 2017 in Japan. A 10-episode live-action TV series premiered in Japan last January 2018 and is now available via Netflix. A second season of the TV series premiered in March 2019.
