Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibit opens July 2 in Japan, showcases original and never-before-seen illustrations

The official Twitter for the TV anime adaptation of Gege Akutami's "Jujutsu Kaisen" manga series has announced on Saturday that the franchise will be holding an exhibit starting July 2 in Tokyo Anime Center located in DNP Plaza Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibit will showcase original arts, newly-drawn illustrations, life-size figures, etc. that will relive the hit TV anime series.

The first half of the exhibit with the theme "will run for 30 days and will end on August 1, 2021. It will resume on its second half from August 6 until September 5, 2021. Advanced regular admission ticket is priced at ¥1,500 and same-day regular admission ticket at ¥1,700. For students, the advanced ticket is discounted at ¥600 and same-day ticket at ¥700.


Student ID cards of the characters will be distributed to visitors as one of the admission benefits. A lottery event will also be held and the advance ticket lottery selling has started on Friday.

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga series was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018. The individual chapters are collected and published by Shueisha, with thirteen tankōbon volumes released as of October 2020. Shueisha also began to simulpublish the series in English on the app and website Manga Plus in January 2019.


A 24-episode anime television series adaptation produced by animation studio MAPPA has premiered in October 2020. The series is directed by Sunghoo Park at MAPPA and Hiroshi Seko is writing and supervising the scripts. Tadashi Hiramatsu is designing the characters with Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama composing the music.


An anime film titled "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" was announced last March 27 and is based on Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School (Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Kōtō Senmon Gakkō) manga story. Studio MAPPA returns for the animation production and the rest of the staff and cast of the TV anime series will reprise their roles for the new project.


Synopsis:

For some strange reason, Yuji Itadori, despite his insane athleticism would rather just hang out with the Occult Club. However, her soon finds out that the occult is as real as it gets when his fellow club members are attacked! Meanwhile, the mysterious Megumi Fushiguro is tracking down a special-grade cursed object, and his search leads him to Itadori...
