Japanese voice actor Daiki Yamashita is celebrating his 32nd birthday today, September 7.
Daiki Yamashita (山下大輝) is a Japanese voice actor affiliated with Arts Vision. He began his voice acting career in 2013 with supporting roles such as Suguru Nishijima of "Arata: The Legend." He showed star potential as early as his rookie days, winning the Best Male Newcomer award at the eighth Seiyuu Awards in 2014 for his role as Sakamichi Onoda (Yowamushi Pedal).
Yamashita has a lively voice. It's full of energy and perfect for portraying characters who display a rich variety of emotions. Thanks to his distinct voice and energy, he landed the role of protagonist Izuku Midoriya of My Hero Academia in 2016. As Midoriya, Yamashita's voice is a complex combination of innocent, shy, but also passionate and earnest.
With his wide voice range, Yamashita would continue his career voicing other distinct roles, such as the serious Yushirou of Demon Slayer, the funny Narancia Ghirga of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and the extremely-energetic-but-with-a-serious-side Shū Iura of Horimiya.
Currently: Yamashita is going strong as Midoriya of My Hero Academia Season 5. He also voiced the supporting character Haruto Keats from sci-fi anime 86 -Eighty Six-.
Did you Know? Just like his hero fanatic character Midoriya, Yamashita is a Marvel fan.
