Japanese sweets (wagashi) series 'Deaimon' announces anime for 2022

The official Twitter account of the series Deaimon has announced that the manga is getting an anime in 2022.

Deaimon (であいもん) is a Japanese manga series by Rin Asano. It has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's seinen manga magazine Young Ace since May 2016. The story is set in a wagashi (Japanese sweets) store in Kyoto with Nagomu Irino as the protagonist. He is the son of the store owner but chose to flee home to pursue his dream of becoming a musician. However, upon learning of his father's hospitalization, he returns home to take over the business, only to find a young girl named Itsuka working there.

In addition, a stage event for Deaimon will be held on September 18 at the Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair 2021 (also known as "Kyo-Mafu") to promote the upcoming anime. The venue is at the Miyako Messe Exhibition Center. Registration instructions for lottery tickets to attend the event are detailed in the Kyo-Mafu official website.

Nagomu Irino returns to his Kyoto home for the first time in ten years when his father is hospitalized. Nagomu is eager to take over Ryokushou, the family's Japanese sweet shop, but he's instead asked to be a father figure to Itsuka Yukihira, the girl everyone calls the successor.
