Mount Aso located in the central Kyushu region in Japan has erupted on Wednesday at 11:43 am Japan Time. The volcano spewed smoke at 3,500 meters high and pyroclastic flows reached more than one kilometer from its No. 1 Nakadake crater.
Due to the activity, Japan's Meteorological Agency has issued a warning for people who are in the mountain area of the Kumamoto prefecture. All people must seek safety as the pyroclastic flow might reach in areas within 2 kilometers from the foot of the volcano.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno in Tokyo told reporters that no injuries have been reported so far.
