The official Twitter for the anime project of Hiro Mashima's Edens Zero manga series has announced on Saturday that the new opening theme song of the currently-airing TV anime adaptation of the series will be performed by the Japanese rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel. The new OP song is titled "Forever".
The Edens Zero TV anime series is animated by J.C. Staff and is directed by Yuushi Suzuki, with Shinji Ishihara serving as chief director. The scripts are written by Mitsutaka Hirota, characters are designed by Yurika Sako, and the music is composed by Yoshihisa Hirano. The series started broadcasting last April 2021 on NTV and other Japanese local channels and Netflix is streaming the anime later in 2021.
On June 12, 2020, Mashima announced on Twitter that the manga would be adapted into a television anime series.
Edens Zero is based on the Japanese science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima who also wrote the series 'Rave' and 'Fairy Tail'. It has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since June 2018, with its chapters collected into eleven tankōbon volumes as of August 2020.
The story follows a boy named Shiki Granbell who embarks on a voyage aboard the titular starship across different planets in search of a cosmic goddess known as "Mother".
