The official Twitter for the TV anime series adaptation of Kisetsu Morita and Benio's "I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level (Suraimu Taoshite Sanbyaku-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Reberu Makkusu ni Nattemashita)" light novel series has announced on Tuesday that the anime is receiving a second season.

The announcement was made through a teaser announcement visual featuring the main protagonist Azusa Aizawa with the written caption that the anime's second season is currently in production.

The first season of the TV anime adaptation of the novel was aired from April 10 to June 26, 2021 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and BS11 in Japan. It is animated by Revoroot with Nobukage Kimura serving as the series director. The scripts are written by Tatsuya Takahashi, character designs by Keisuke Goto, and series composition by Keiji Inai.

The cast includes Aoi Yuuki as Azusa Aizawa, Kaede Hondo as Laika, Sayaka Senbongi as Falfa, Minami Tanaka as Shaisha, Sayaka Harada as Halkara, Manami Numakura as Beelzebub, Azumi Waki as Fratorte, Riho Sugiyama as Rosalie, and Yukari Tamura as Provato Pecora Ariés.

The series is based on the Japanese light novel series written by Kisetsu Morita and illustrated by Benio which was serialized as a web novel since 2016 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou. It was acquired by SB Creative in 2017, who published the first light novel volume in 2017 and has been collected into 14 volumes as of October 2020 under the GA Bunko imprint.

It was adapted into a manga series by Yuusuke Shiba and was serialized in June 2017 on the online website and smartphone app Gangan Online. The manga has been collected into 7 tankōbon volumes by Square Enix as of September 2020.

Another manga spin-off adaptation of the light novel was launched in 2019 on Square Enix's Gangan Online website under the title "I Was a Bottom-Tier Bureaucrat for 1,500 Years, and the Demon King Made Me a Minister".

GA Bunko describes the series as:

After living a painful life as an office worker, Azusa ended her short life by dying from overworking. So when she found herself reincarnated as an undying, unaging witch in a new world, she vows to spend her days stress-free and as pleasantly as possible. She ekes out a living by hunting down the easiest targets—the slimes! But after centuries of doing this simple job, she's ended up with insane powers...how will she maintain her low key life now?
