'I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss' releases teaser for anime in October 2022

The romcom isekai anime will be produced by animation studio Maho Film.

The teaser video is out for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of light novel series I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss by Sarasa Nagase and Mai Murasaki.


The show is scheduled to air in October 2022. Animation studio Maho Film will be in charge of the anime series.

The romcom isekai series stars a main character who is reborn into an otome game as the story's villainess, Aileen Lauren Dautriche (CV: Rie Takahashi). As Irene, she must avoid reaching the game's bad end, so she makes a plan to conquer the last boss (the evil king Claude Jeanne Elmir, voiced by Yūichirō Umehara), make him her lover, and see if she can open up a new route.


The teaser also features Claude's half-brother, Cedric Jeanne Elmir, who is voiced by Toshiki Masuda.

About I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss

I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss (Japanese: 悪役令嬢なのでラスボスを飼ってみました, Romaji: Akuyaku Reijō Nanode Last Boss o Katte Mimashita) is a Japanese light novel series written by Sarasa Nagase and illustrated by Mai Murasaki. It began serialization online in May 2017 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later acquired by Kadokawa Shoten, who have published nine volumes since September 2017 under their Kadokawa Beans Bunko imprint.


A manga adaptation with art by Anko Yuzu was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's seinen manga magazine Comp Ace from June 2018 to August 2019. Both the light novel and manga are licensed in North America by Yen Press.
