'How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom' TV anime reveals new PV and July 3 debut

The official YouTube channel of King Amusement Creative has revealed on Friday a new promotional video (PV) for the upcoming TV anime series adaptation of Dojyomaru's "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom (Genjitsushugi Yūsha no Ōkoku Saikenki)" light novel series. The series has been scheduled to begin broadcasting on July 3 in Japan via channels Tokyo MX, BS11, and FOD.

The PV features the introduction of casts and the opening theme song "Hello Horizon" performed by the Japanese voice actress and singer Inori Minase.

The new series was announced by Overlap on April 17, 2020. It is produced by WOWMAX and is be animated by J.C.Staff with the direction of Takashi Watanabe. Gō Zappa and Hiroshi Ōnogi is in charge of the scripts, Mai Otsuka designing the characters, and Akiyuki Tateyama composing the series' music.


The main cast includes Yuusuke Kobayashi voicing the role of protagonist Kazuya Souma (right), while the heroine Liscia Elfrieden (left) is voiced by Inori Minase.

"How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom" is based on the Japanese light novel series written by Dojyomaru and illustrated by Fuyuyuki with eleven volumes have been released in the original Japanese language as of October 24, 2019. The first volume was published by Overlap Bunko in 2016 with Digital English light novel publisher J-Novel Club acquiring the rights for the series on February 23, 2017. A manga adaptation by Satoshi Ueda began serialization online in Overlap's Comic Gardo manga website in July 2017.


The story follows Kazuya Sōma, a humanities-student-turned-hero as he pulls on his knowledge of realism and machiavellianism in order to rebuild the kingdom.
