The TV anime adaptation of Yuuki Tabata's "Black Clover" manga series has included Japanese voice actors Hiro Shimono and Nobuhiko Okamoto as additional cast members for the series climax. The series is scheduled to air its last episode on March 30, 2021 with Episode 170 and is announced to end with a big announcement that will be revealed after the final episode has been aired.
Hiro Shimono plays the role of Nacht Faust, the vice-captain of the Clover Kingdom's Black Bull squad of the Magic Knights, a devil host, and a former member of the Grey Deer squad. Nacht first appearance on Episode 168 aired March 16.
Nobuhiko Okamoto plays the role of Liebe, the Devil of anti-magic is the Devil who resides in Asta’s five-leaf grimoire. Liebe is expected to make his appearance on the series' 169th episode airing March 23.
Last February 2, an announcement video was announced by the series' TV anime official Twitter revealing that the series is ending with Episode 170.
The TV anime series is produced by Studio Pierrot, which started airing from October 2017 until the present with the first two seasons each consisted of 51 episodes. The third season premiered on October 1, 2019. It is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu writing scripts, Itsuko Takeda doing character designs, and Minako Seki composing the music.
The series is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since February 2015, and has been collected into 25 tankōbon volumes as of July 2020.
The story centers around Asta, a young boy seemingly born without any magic power, something that is unknown in the world he lives in. With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.
