The special chapter of Haruichi Furudate's "Haikyuu!!" manga series drawn by the creator himself has been digitally released on Friday in Shueisha's Shonen JUMP+ app. The recent work is a full never before seen chapter that was featured at Haikyuu!!'s Original Art Exhibition held at Sendai's TFU Gallery Mini Mori in Miyagi prefecture in Japan last September 19, 2020.

The Haikyuu!! manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate was serialized in Shueisha Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020, with its chapters collected in forty-five tankōbon volumes where its final and 45th volume shipping on Wednesday. The manga won the 61st Shogakukan Manga Award for best shōnen manga in 2016. As of November 2020, Haikyu!! had over 50 million copies in print.
An anime television series adaptation by Production I.G aired from April 2014 to September 2014, with 25 episodes. A second season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, with 25 episodes. A third season aired from October 2016 to December 2016, with 10 episodes. A fourth season was announced during the Jump Festa '19 and was planned for release in two cours, the first cour of 13 episodes aired from January to April 2020, and the second cour of 12 episodes which will premiere in October 2020.
Apart from the manga and TV anime adaptations, the series was also adapted into several films, a radio drama program, spin-off series, stage plays, OVAs and video games.
