American voice actor Elliot Gindi, known for voicing Tighari in the open-world RPG Genshin Impact and Billy from the anime Pokemon Journeys: The Series, posted an apology on Twitter admitting his misconduct after screenshots of personal chat and now-deleted Discord messages surfaced online overnight containing inappropriate intentions making him be accused of sexual harassment.
Despite admitting the allegations, Gindi denied that he was doing the conversation with any 'underaged fans.' Posts show that he converses with unimaginable sexual intent using under-the-hood words and even persuading his fan/s for the worst.
Zach Aguilar and Erika Harlacher-Stone, his co-voice actors in Genshin Impact (Aether and Venti, respectively), have decided to completely end ties with Gindi and condemned his actions.
Aguilar stated that he is very disappointed and angry and has removed his collaboration stream videos with Gindi. He also described the misconduct as 'disgusting' and 'shameful.'
On the same thoughts, Harlacher-Stone also removed her videos with him and does not intend to do further activities with the voice actor.
With his recent debut last quarter of the year as Tighnari from the game, HoYoverse has yet to comment on the situation and the voice actor is definitely at risk of being replaced anytime soon.
