The official Twitter account for Detective Conan: Police Academy Arc – Wild Police Story has announced that the manga spin-off will begin airing an anime adaptation on Dec. 4, 2021, at 18:00 JST.
Detective Conan: Police Academy Arc – Wild Police Story is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takahiro Arai. It is a spin-off and prequel to the Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed) manga by Gosho Aoyama. The story takes place seven years in the past when 22-year-old Rei Furuya and friends attend the Metropolitan Police Academy.
Aoyama is also supervising this spin-off project. Wild Police Story was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine from October 2019 to November 2020.
