Streaming platform giant Netflix Japan has streamed on its official YouTube channel on Thursday the main trailer of the upcoming sequel of the B: The Beginning anime series titled "B: The Beginning Succession". The anime is scheduled to premiere on March 18 exclusively on the platform.
A key visual was also released on the official website of the series.
The cast and staff from the first season of the series is reprising their roles for the second season with the exception of Itsuro Kawasaki replacing Kazuto Nakazawa as the series director with Nakazawa serving as the chief director.
Netflix describes the series as:
In a world powered by advanced technology, crime and action sweep through the archipelagic nation of Cremona. Chief among the major players is "Killer B", a serial killer who has thrown the city into chaos. The stories of the protagonist Koku; Keith, a legendary investigator of the Royal Investigation Service (RIS); and a mysterious criminal organisation intertwine on the path to reach their objectives.
B: The Beginning, originally titled Perfect Bones, is an original net animation (ONA) anime series animated by animation studio Production I.G. The first season of the anime aired on March 2, 2018 worldwide on Netflix with 12 episodes.
The series is directed by Kazuto Nakazawa who also serves as the character designer and key animation supervisor. Yoshiki Yamakawa also directed the series alongside Nakazawa, with Katsuya Ishida wrote the scripts, and Yoshihiro Ike composed the music.
