An anime inspired by ASMR is set for release in October. Titled Can I Make Your Ears Happy in 180 Seconds?, the anime revealed the list of cast members on Monday.
The short series will explore Akari as she enters the world of ASMR after buying a mic. The show will primarily let audiences explore ASMR themselves, playing the role of the main character who is obsessed with ASMR and will experience Akari (also known as Gekko-chan) as she tries to make ASMR. She'll be joined by other characters who also try out ASMR, each with their own story.
ASMR, as described by the official website, is:
"ASMR = Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, which has been rapidly gaining momentum in recent years as 'a voice / video genre that causes comfort caused by visual and auditory stimuli and a sensation that makes the brain tingle.'"
As per the title, the show is very short, and aims to introduce ASMR to audiences and let them experience the wonders of the experience within 180 seconds.
The staff of the anime will include Yoshinobu Kasai, and character design by Takayuki Noguchi. Animation and production will be from INDIVISION and EKACHI EPILKA. The list of voice actors for the cast include:
Shiori Mikami (playing "Akari Sawake")
Suzuko Mimori (playing "Shūsui Kagami")
Azumi Waki (playing "Hikari Sawake")
Kanae Itō (playing "Udoku Sawake")
