The story of 'Adventurers Who Lost Faith in People Will Apparently Save the World' is centered around four different people and the adventures they go through. The main character, Nick, is a man who gets expelled from his group after false accusations of embezzlement. Finding himself without a group, he instead goes to a tavern and stumbles upon three other adventurers, all whom have suffered some form of betrayal from their previous adventure groups. Through their shared misery, they decide to band together and form their own group, with their shared lack of faith in humanity.
